Fixed Candle Ritual Instructions

Before you begin, ensure you are fully prepared. The power of ritual lies in consistency, focus, and intention. Treat your ritual with the same priority as any other important commitment in your life.

Follow these instructions exactly as given. Do not add, omit, or modify any steps. These instructions are specifically designed for Haus of Hoodoo products and rituals created by Manbo Jessyka, they do not apply to other products or practices.

The success of your ritual depends entirely on you, your discipline, your commitment, and your readiness to receive what you are asking for.

Preparing for Your Ritual

When you are ready to begin, stand before your Fixed Candle and introduce yourself by your birth name, followed by the names of your parents. Then, call upon one of your Ancestors to assist you. If you do not know a blood Ancestor by name, direct your prayers to yourself as the Spirit, or to the power of the Fixed Candle. This is how you will begin your prayers every day for the next seven days.

Fixed Candle Ritual Process

• This is a 7-day ritual that must be performed without interruption.

• Choose a private and safe place where you can sit before your Fixed Candle daily.

• Each day, light the candle, sit in front of it, and pray for at least 10 minutes, repeating your prayer continuously.

• After praying, sit in silence, meditating before the candle.

• Snuff out the flame when you are done, do not blow it out.

• Perform this ritual at the same time each day, as close as possible.

• On Day 7, after completing your prayer and meditation, do not snuff out the candle. Let it burn completely on its own over the next few days.

Once the candle has finished burning:

• Dispose of the remaining jar in a trash bin outside your home.

• Wait at least 7 days before beginning another ritual.

Additional Instructions & Guidelines

• While working your ritual, keep a glass of water by your bedside (on your nightstand or the floor, near your head).

• On the morning after Day 7, discard the water down the drain or pour it into a plant.

• Do not begin a ritual on a Sunday, though it is fine if one of the 7 days falls on a Sunday. Saturdays are generally ideal for starting a Fixed Candle Ritual.

• If you miss a step or skip a day, you must start over from Day 1 with the same candle.

• Unless specifically instructed by Haus of Hoodoo, focus on one ritual at a time.

• Do not mix Haus of Hoodoo rituals with those of other practitioners.

This ritual is a sacred process, approach it with patience, devotion, and respect.
